A few minutes of prep makes the visit faster and keeps your stuff dry, your pets calm, and the crew moving. Here's exactly how an appointment with JNR goes, start to finish.

Once your bid is approved, Jesse gets you on the schedule and confirms the day. Portland weather gets a vote — if freezing temps or heavy rain would compromise the treatment, we'd rather move the date than do the job wrong.
The checklist below covers everything — gates, windows, water access, pets, and anything you don't want wet. None of it is hard; all of it helps.
The crew works the roof, gutters, and whatever else is on the bid. We use your front water spigot for the treatment and cleanup, and we do a pre-work roof check with photos of anything worth knowing about — shingle condition, leak hazards, small repairs we spot.
We clean up after ourselves before we leave, and your full inspection report — photos included — lands in your inbox. You see exactly what we saw up there, with nothing left to guesswork.
None of this is required — but taking care of it ahead of time means less back-and-forth once the crew's on site.
Unlock any gates so we can get to the roof and gutters.
Have the water spigot closest to the front parking area open and accessible — we use it for the treatment and leave one outlet on for cleanup.
Close all windows before we start.
Move or cover anything you don't want wet or dusty — cars, patio furniture, shoes, floor mats, grills, ponds, and fountains.
Bring animal dishes inside and keep pets — especially dogs — inside while we're working.
Clear driveways, walkways, and other hard surfaces we'll need to work around.
If you have a bee hive on the property, please have it taken care of before we get on the roof.
Let us know ahead of time if you have gutter guards installed, or more bees around than usual — it changes the bid.
If another contractor is scheduled around the same time, let's coordinate so JNR is the only crew on the property while we work.
Roof cleaning shakes moss, debris, and water loose — that's the job. The checklist exists so none of it lands on anything you care about, the crew isn't waiting on a locked gate, and your pets aren't stressed by strangers on the roof. Five minutes of prep, and the whole visit runs the way it should.
Questions before the day? Call or text Jesse at (503) 432-9093 — he answers.
Tell us about your roof and we'll take a look — remotely or in person, whichever you'd rather. No pressure, no obligation, just an honest answer.
